Nursing research networks

International collaboration in nursing research enhances the use of contemporary nursing concepts and theories as well as supports the accumulation of scientific nursing knowledge. Collaboration between nursing researchers makes it possible to conduct large-scale international studies. By networking, junior researchers can also learn from more experienced researchers. Here are some networks which you can join:

The Nurse Practitioner/Advanced Practice Network (NP/APN Network)

https://international.aanp.org/Research/Index

The International Council of Nurses’ Nurse Practitioner/Advanced Practice Network has a Research Subgroup, which supports Nurse Practitioners and Advanced Practice Nurses in practice and policy related research. The Research Subgroup also facilitates the provision of resources, tools and advice to NPs/APNs seeking to undertake research in their practice settings.

European Federation of Educators in Nursing Science (FINE) https://fine-europe.eu/

The FINE mission consists of promoting excellence in nursing education as well as of the skill acquisition and maintenance of nurse educators in the countries of the World Health Organization’s European region to better address their populations’ constantly evolving health needs. You can either be an individual member, or your university can be a member. FINE organizes annual conferences to report the latest research on nursing education.

European Nursing Research Foundation http://www.enrf.eu/

The ENRF mission is to promote and encourage nursing research as a factor for professional excellence to benefit citizens’ health in the EU and in Europe; to use nursing research to influence EU policies; and to promote evidence-based decision-making.
